Amal, 39, was seen speaking to both the British and American ambassador’s to the UN at the meeting.

In a sea of muted suits, George Clooney’s wife had all eyes on her thanks to the vibrant orange shade she chose to wear.

Amal’s skirt suit featured a boxy cropped jacket and loose A line skirt that came down her knees.

She paired the burnt orange suit with a tangerine silk pussy-bow shirt, a classic nod to the 70s.

Amal kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing a plain wedding band and  no other jewellery.

She stopped short of matching her shoes to her outfit, choosing beige courts instead.

The orange tones of her outfit complemented the caramel highlights in her hair, which was blow-dryed into large tumbling curls.

The mum-of-two wore tonal make-up, with a brick orange-red matte lipstick pulling the look together.

Amal was last seen with George and the twins at the Venice Film Festival in Italy at the start of the month.

The human rights lawyer, who gave birth to twins Ella and Alexander in June, oozed elegance as she left the Cipriani Hotel with husband George.

The pair were every inch the doting parents as they carried their babies out of the venue and into a waiting boat.

The children were kept out of view of waiting photographers and were tucked up in two separate baby carriers.

After the parents stepped into the taxi, they could be seen gazing adoringly into the cots at the twins.

Amal looked chic as ever as she left the hotel in a pair of wide-legged black and white striped trousers which she paired with a silky black blouse.

Her dark locks were styled in bouncy waves while she sported a pair of black sunglasses to shield her eyes from the bright sun.

The actor meanwhile cut a more casual figure in a pair of light blue trousers and matching polo shirt.
