Meghan Markle engagement interview: Suits star reveals stunning bottle green dress
The royal couple have appeared with BBC News broadcaster Mishal Husain in a tell-all interview about how their romance began.
Just a couple of hours before, the couple stepped out for a photo call at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, and while the Prince Harry wore a dark blue suit with a navy tie, the American actress wore a stunning white trench coat by Line the Label.
The Meghan Markle effect was in full force as the brand’s website crashed shortly after the pair’s appearance with people desperate to get Meghan’s style.
But the Suits star’s coat was fastened up to keep out the cold, and many people will have been eager to know what she was wearing underneath.
Paired with some nude suede pumps by Aquazurra, Meghan revealed the dress she had on under her coat during her BBC interview.
She revealed a dark green, sleeveless, crew neck dress by P.A.R.O.S.H, which is priced at 490 euros on its website (around £437).
Her Aquazzura shoes cost £369 and she finished off the polished look wearing a pair of Les Plaisirs de Birks earring which cost £850.
During the interview the couple publicly spoke about the details of the engagement for the first time.
Meghan revealed how the proposal came about: “We were trying to roast a chicken and it just, just an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee.”
Prince Harry said: “She didn’t even let me finish, she said ‘can I say yes, can I say yes’ and then were was hugs and I had the ring in my finger and I was like ‘can I, can I give you the ring?’ She goes ‘oh yes the ring!'”
Harry also spoke about what it was like introducing Meghan to his family for the first time.
He said: “What was it like? It was exciting I mean I’ve, you know I’d been seeing her for a period of time when I literally didn’t tell anybody at all.
“And then William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine. Catherine has been absolutely amazing, as has William. And my father as well.
“The family together have been absolutely, you know, a solid support and my grandparents as well have been wonderful throughout this whole process.”
When the couple stepped out earlier for their photo call “Harry was nervous” according to body language expert Judi James.
